El Rey uses paint and ink to create inspired doodles of the peculiar animals and wordplay rattling around his subconscious. He makes his pictures with whatever materials are at hand, including dollar-store spray paint, plywood, and discounted mis-mixed house paint from local builders-supply stores.
His hundreds (honestly) of sold works have found homes all over the U.S. and in Canada and Germany, and there has been a stream of subscribers to his “El Aņo del Rey” picture-of-the-month club. His web site is located at elreydelart.com
